Our Approach
Good beginnings come from real experiences: cooking, counting coins, digging in the mud, and learning to be a good friend. Our curriculum rests on six pillars that shape every classroom, every day.
01
Practical Life
Children learn by doing the real work of daily life. They pour their own water, prepare snacks, care for their classroom and help one another, building independence and confidence one skill at a time. Children are more capable than we often expect, and we give them the time and trust to show it.
02
Classrooms Based on Development
We place children by where they are developmentally, not by their birthday. Each classroom follows clear developmental milestones, so teachers know what your child is ready for and how to help them take the next step.
03
Family Engagement to Build Community
School is a partnership. Families are invited into the classroom, into our events, and into their child’s learning, because children thrive when home and school work together.
04
World Language Discovery
Building on our long-standing Spanish program, children will also be introduced to Mandarin starting in January 2027. Through songs, stories and everyday words, children build an ear for new languages and a curiosity about the wider world.
05
Outdoor-First
Children spend meaningful time outside every day, in every season. Our outdoor classroom, including our mud kitchen, gives children room to explore, take healthy risks, build strength and use their imaginations.
06
Screen-Free Environment
Our classrooms are screen-free. Children learn through hands, books, conversation and play, the way young children learn best.
