Three generations of family ownership
Founded by Maryann and Richard Hubschman in 1965, run today by their grandchildren. Many of our graduates now bring their own children to Palisades.
Classrooms built around your child
Children are placed by development, not birthday. We meet every child where they are, from 18 months through age 6.
Outdoors first, screen-free always
Children spend real time outside every day, from our mud kitchen to the outdoor classroom. There are no screens in our classrooms.

Now enrolling
Palisades has always admitted families through a tour and application process. We are enrolling now for the 2026–2027 school year, with limited availability. Younger classrooms offer 2, 3 or 5 days a week; Hudson Builders and Palisades Leaders meet 5 days a week.
